Winter Storm Watch: A Foot Of Snow Possible

I sure would like to know what we did to make Mother Nature so mad at us. First this bone chilling cold this morning, followed up by another blast of snow.

A foot of snow could be on the way when a winter storm makes it’s way through Minnesota Friday and Saturday. In advance of the system, the National Weather Service has issued a winter storm watch.

The watch, which kicks in 10am Friday and goes through 6pm Saturday, covers the entire state with forecasts projecting 6-10 inches of snow Friday through Saturday morning, followed by northwest winds up to 35 mph causing blowing and drifting.

“The heaviest snow will fall during the second half of Friday, with blowing snow becoming more likely on Saturday as winds increase as the system departs,” the weather service says.

We will keep you updated as things change.
