Week 7 NFL Purple And Gold Predictions

The Twisted Sisters (Noelle and Michele) are on a roll with their Purple and Gold Predictions, just like our beloved Minnesota Vikings at 3-2-1 on the season. The Vikings on the road this Sunday at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ to face the New York Jets (3-3). The Jets also trying to make it three in a row, and probably still a little agitated Kirk Cousins decided to suit up in purple and gold instead of agreeing to the $90 million contract they offered him during the off-season.

Rookie quarterback Sam Darnold, third overall pick in the 2018 draft, may have had a decent performance last week against the Indianapolis Colts (42-34), but the Vikings still have one of the highest rated defenses in the league. Jason Myers may have kicked a NY Jets franchise record 7 field goals last week, but if we can hold them to field goals instead of touchdowns, the Vikes should find themselves with another one in the win column. Vikings wide receiver, Adam Thielen will try and make it an unprecedented seven games in a row with over 100 yards. Dalvin Cook remains healthy and had almost 200 rushing yards last week against the Arizona Cardinals.

Since 1970, the Vikings have faced the NY Jets on the road five times and have lost all five games. Here’s to breaking that bad habit, and hanging onto that pig skin. Zero fumbles this week and we should seal the deal!

Purple and Gold Predictions

Noelle: (3-2-1) – Vikes by a touchdown (and the extra point)  6 + 1 = 7

Michele (3-2-1) – Vikes by 1 – It’s gonna come down to the wire, and Dan Bailey kicks the winning field goal.
