I wish I had a dollar for every time I heard someone say, ‘That game Monday night really sucked’. Well, it did. The Minnesota Vikings’ offense led by Kirk Cousins put out an underwhelming performance against the Seattle Seahawks. Here we go again. Is Cousins worth the $84 million contract? Oddly enough, both Aaron Rodgers (Green Bay Packers) and Matt Ryan (Atlanta Falcons) have a higher average salary. But, which team has more wins this season? That would be our Purple and Gold team at 6-6-1, and currently the sixth seed in the NFC playoff picture. Cousins is still on pace to be only the 4th quarterback in Vikings history to throw at least 4,000 yards in a single season.
Week 15 puts the Vikings at US Bank Stadium hosting the eighth seed in the AFC standings, the Miami Dolphins at 7-6. We need more than hope going into this game. We need interim Offensive Coordinator, Kevin Stefanski to get that offense clicking and moving down the field. Yes interim. Former Offensive Coordinator, John De Filippo is just that, former as in fired earlier this week. If the Vikings can win these last three games (Miami, Detroit, Chicago) they will hold that sixth seed in the NFC and get a wild card berth. If not, the Green Packers or Detroit Lions could actually take it away from us.
