The Minnesota Vikings are celebrating an impressive week 9 win over the Detroit Lions with a well deserved bye week. It’ll be a time for us fans to relax, kick back and maybe take in a different NFC North match-up this weekend. Matt Stafford and the Detroit Lions march into Soldier Field and take on the division leading Chicago Bears after being suffocated by the Vikings defense. Stafford was sacked 10 times last seek (the NFL record is 12). The Green Bay Packers host the 5-4 Miami Dolphins. Lambeau Field gets pretty chilly in November too (talk about a fish out of water).
The Vikings, on the other hand, will continue to lick their wounds, practice routes, and prepare for week 11 when they travel to Soldier Field for a bout with the Bears and try to regain first place in the NFC North. The November 18th game will be another prime-time match-up on Sunday Night Football. It’s never easy at Soldier Field. If you plan to travel to the game, beware. Bears fans DO NOT like Vikings fans at all. It’s brutal, and there’s no love lost.
