It was a snowy yet beautiful morning, the colors were intense, as were some emotions. The 3rd annual Out Of The Darkness Walk was a success with nearly 26 thousand dollars raised by almost 200 people. The walk to prevent suicide and raise education about mental health is an important one. Suicide is the 2nd leading cause of death for our nations youth and the leading cause death for our veterans. Every 45 seconds someone takes their own life and 1 in 3 of us has some form of mental illness. It’s time for the stigma to change. It’s time to talk about it, just as we do with other diseases.
