Stone Temple Pilots frontman Scott Weiland is getting the biopic treatment.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the studio Dark Pictures is adapting the late rocker’s 2011 memoir, Not Dead & Not for Sale, into a film called Paper Heart, a reference to the STP song “Trippin’ on a Hole in a Paper Heart.”

“It’s an honor to have the trust to tell Scott’s story and the ability to portray the lesser known sides of him,” says Dark Pictures co-founder Jennifer Erwin. “The loving and tender man he was, the high school athlete he was, the melancholy soul he was and the legendary frontman that he will always be.”

Erwin, whom THR describes as a “diehard Stone Temple Pilots fan,” will write the script.

Weiland died in 2015 at age 48. In addition to his work in STP, he also fronted the band Velvet Revolver with Guns N’ Roses members Slash, Duff McKagan and Matt Sorum, and launched his own solo project.
