For all of you that drive Highway 371 between Brainerd and Nisswa or vice versa, you’re in for some delays in the next few weeks. The Minnesota Department of Transportation announced that starting today there is a micro-surfacing project underway that will slow us all down a bit.
The lane closures will vary, but you will find that the work has already started in the South bound lanes just to the North of the intersection of County Road 77 South and Highway 371 intersection. The work extends all the way to Smiley Road in Nisswa and will last through the month of September.
The Crews will be at it from sunrise to sunset on good weather days and all lanes are expected to be open by September 30th. The whole idea is to extend the life of the road, but it’s going to interrupt your life for a little while. Slow down, stay safe, and watch for the guys and gals that are on the job.
