Out today John Fogerty’s latest live album, 50 Year Trip: Live At Red Rocks. A concert film of the Red Rocks concert captured last June in Morrison, Colorado will be shown for one night theatrically — on Veterans Day, November 11th — via Fathom Events.
John Fogerty made comment to Pulse of Radio that while working on the mix for the film’s soundtrack, he realized he was sitting on yet another killer live album: “I didn’t think I realized until I sat down to listen to it with Bob Clearmountain, who’s handling the recording and also the mixing of the sound. To me, it was kind of, ‘Well, we better check this one for flaws (laughs) or whatever. And after, like, two songs, I was, just sort of, like, kidnapped. It went right through and I got all the way to the end and I didn’t even come up for air, you might say. It flowed so well; ‘Wow — that was pretty fun!’ Which is for me, pretty unusual. I’m usually fairly critical of my own stuff.”
