  • 6 Slices of French bread cut 1″ thick
  • 3 eggs
  • 3/4 cup of milk
  • 1/2 cup half and half- 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg

 

  • TOPPING: 2 TBS soft butter
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp light corn syrup
  • Butter 9X13″ pan overlap slices of french bread to completely fill pan
  • Beat eggs, milk, half and half, vanilla, cinnamon and nut meg
  • Pour mixture over bread, cover and refrigerate over night. The next day remove from the refrigerator for 45 minutes before baking
  • Heat over to 350 Mix butter, brown sugar and corn syrup and spread over each piece of bread
  • Bake 45 minutes until golden and puffed
