It sounds like it was quite the show on Monday night when Eric Clapton gathered some friends from the world of Classic Rock to pay tribute to the late great Ginger Baker.
Ginger of course died this past October at the age of 80. He was one of Rock’s greatest drummers, but it was more than drumming that filled the stage last night. Eric was joined on stage by Ron Wood, Steve Winwood, Roger Waters, Paul Rodgers, Kenney Jones, Paul Carrack and others, including Ginger’s son Kofi Baker. Kofi has in recent months been touring with a Cream Tribute including himself, Malcom Bruce (Jack Bruce’s son) and Will Johns (Eric Clapton’s Nephew) who also played last night.
Eric and friends delivered the eulogy in a big and beautiful musical explosion. Check out the video’s below.
