Easter weekend is here and there is a ton of fun to be found in various locations this Saturday!  Take a peek at the following and have a great Easter weekend with your family!


A Hoppin’ Out of Hibernation Arts & Crafts Fair will be held from 9:00-2:00 on Sat. Apr. 8th at the Bertha-Hewitt School in Bertha.  There will be over 50 vendors on-site, food, live entertainment, kids activities and free photos with the Easter Bunny!  The event is free to attend.  All are welcome.

The Northern Pacific Center in Brainerd will be home to an Easter Egg Hunt on Sat. Apr. 8th.  The egg hunt, geared for kids ages 1-12, will start promptly at 11:00, but the Kids Fun Zone will be open from 9:00-2:00.  The Fun Zone will include a Lakes Party & Bounce House, a CLC Plant Station, a petting zoo, face painting and photos with the Easter Bunny (additional $5-$10).  Kids COULD win new bike, too!

Brainerd Parks & Recreation will host the annual Brainerd Easter Egg Hunt at Gregory Park on Sat. Apr. 8th staring at 10:00.  This event is geared for children ages 2-9 and is free to attend!  Guests are encouraged to arrive at the Gregory Park Center Circle by 9:30, as the hunt starts at 10:00 SHARP and only takes about 15-20 minutes.  Bring your own basket to collect the eggs.

The Seek and You Will Find Easter Egg Hunt will take place on Sat. Apr. 8th staring at 10:00 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Brainerd.  There will be many prizes for different age groups.  It’s an event for the whole family.  Please bring your own basket or bag for egg collection.

The Warrior Early Learning Center in Baxter will host its Early Childhood Easter Party on Sat. Apr. 8th from 10:00-12:00 at the center.  The event will include crafts, games, cookie frosting and pictures with a real live bunny!  The cost is $3 per child.  Adults get in free WITH a non-perishable food item for the Food Shelf.  Money raised will benefit the Early Childhood Family Education Scholarship Fund.

The Crosslake/Ideal Lions are hosting the Annual Easter EGGStravaganza with the Easter Bunny in Crosslake Town Square on Sat. April 8th starting at 10:00.  The event will feature an Easter egg hunt, pictures with the Easter Bunny and indoor and outdoor games and prizes!  The event runs until 1:00.  For more information, visit

Crossing Arts will have another Creativity Kit Giveaway as part of Second Saturdays on Sat. Apr. 8th rom 10:00-12:00.  There will be two projects in each kit,.  All supplies will be included and the kits are free and based on a first-come-first-served basis.  For more information, visit Facebook and search The Crossing Arts Alliance.

Easter in the Garden will happen at Landsburg Landscape Nursery in Brainerd on Sat. Apr. 8th from 10:00-1:00.  The event will include live animals, an all-day Easter egg hunt, hands-on activities, live music, snacks and more.  All are invited. 

Brainerd Lakes Area Women of Today and ECFE invite you to an Easter Party at the Warrior Early Learning Center in Baxter on Sat. Apr. 8th.  The party will run from 10:00-12:00 and is only $4 per child (adults are free with a non-perishable food item!)  They’ll have crafts, games, face-painting, cookies, prizes, goodie bags and LIVE BUNNIES!  Dollars raised will be donated to ECFE.

A Brainerd Easter Ball Hunt will be held at Buster Dog Park in Brainerd on Sat. Apr. 8th from 2:00-3:00.  All dogs must be on a leash during this free tennis ball hunt.  The hunt will start at Buster Dog Park and participants will search the trail around Boom Lake and the Buffalo Hills Trail.  Each dog can keep as many tennis balls as they find, thanks to the Brainerd High School Tennis Team!  Prizes will be awarded, including one for the dog that finds the most balls.  Please bring a bag to collect the balls.

The Pequot Lakes American Legion will host an Easter Dinner on Sun. Apr. 9th from 10:00-1:00.  The dinner will include ham, scalloped potatoes, green beans, a dinner roll and dessert.  Freewill offerings will be collected.
