We’re heading into what we call the “dog days” of summer. As we all know walleye are king here in our area, but they can be tough this time of year. We should not forget though, that this area can be awesome for bass fishing. We have so many small lakes that have a great population of bass, then you have the big lakes like Gull, Mille Lacs and many more than have great numbers as well. The techniques can be very simple, and it’s a great way to get the kids out fishing. I’m one that just likes to walleye fish, but it’s fun just to stretch a line sometimes. Plus they put up a fight, so they are fun to catch.
