DNR Asking Ice Anglers To Pick Up Their Trash When Leaving The Lake

I’ve seen this all too often right here in the Brainerd Lakes in past couple of years. Namely 371 bay on North Long, and Mille Lacs. Let’s put a stop to it and do our part. We are lucky enough to have some of the greatest resources right in our back yard, so let’s treat them that way. Also speaking of Mille Lacs, now that we have snow, a lot of snowmobiles will be cruising around. For those of you who spear, please don’t leave your ice chunks on the ice. If a snowmobile didn’t see it and ran into it, it could cause a very bad accident. Remember to push it under the ice. A little common sense can go a long way to making sure we have a fun and safe winter season.
