The tenth annual Crow Wing County DWI Court Pig Roast Fundraiser is happening this week at the Judicial Center.
You can come out to the east lawn at the Crow Wing Judicial Center on Wednesday, August 22nd from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The annual pig roast fundraiser is going on 10 years bringing awareness and education to the community. “The success of sobriety court programs extends far beyond the participants we serve,” says DWI Court Probation Agent Preston Windorski. “The programs reach deep into the community by transforming lives one individual at a time. The programs effects are felt by families, employers, the judicial system, social assistance, healthcare programs and community organizations.”.
The mission of the program is enhancing the public safety with increasing supervision of DWI offenders. This helps lower repeat offenders.
If you want to check it out, the cost is $6 for a sandwich, side, chips, cookie and a beverage. The Brainerd Jaycees are the sponsor of the fundraiser.
