According to the Brainerd Dispatch, fair officials have made the call to cancel the 2020 Crow Wing County Fair.

The fair, which was scheduled to run from August 4th through August 8th, was called off after fair officials met on Friday, May 22nd.

General Manager of the Crow Wing County Fair Gary Doucette was quoted as saying,

“This is one of the hardest things I’ve had to do in my life. The kids are going to be so disappointed. I wish I had a magic wand and could say ‘problem solved’ but I can’t.”
