November 1st, 2018 was the last time Minnesotans felt 50 above. Almost 140 days… almost 38 percent of the year and nearly five long months later.
The current forecast continues to say we'll go somewhere we haven't gone to in the Twin Cities since November 1st, the 50s! Thru Mar 16, we have spent 135 days under 50, if we can stay below 50 on Thursday, we'll push this number to 140 and into the top 10. #spring #mnwx pic.twitter.com/yYdYhpW1va

For many of us, OVERDUE, we may feel our first 50 degree day of 2019 this week. Spring officially begins on Wednesday and to celebrate this welcomed season, the arrival of 50’s and perhaps even a few degrees warmer are forecast for the Brainerd Lakes Area by weeks end. Although it may be a bit premature to get the boat out and dust off the clubs, this weeks warm up will feel glorious after one cold bad mother of a winter. Congratulations, you’ve just about made it!
