The city of Brainerd has issued a press release regarding the closure of South 5th Street in Brainerd. So it’s time to plan a new route for next Monday through Friday. The full press release is below.
Anderson Brothers Construction Company of Brainerd has informed the City of Brainerd that they will be connecting the utility lines for water and sewer to the new performing arts center located at the intersection of S 5th Street and Oak Street starting on May 11th , 2020 and continuing through the week until completion on May 15th, 2020.
The closure will begin at 6AM on Monday, May 11th, 2020 and will go into the late evening hours of May 15th, 2020. This closure will facilitate the utility connections to the performing arts center that is currently being constructed at the High School.
Motorists will be rerouted around the construction zone utilizing Norwood Street, S 6th Street, and Quince Street. Pedestrians will be rerouted around the construction zone utilizing Norwood Street, S 6th Street, and Pine Street.
