The man involved in a Saturday morning shooting with Eden Valley law enforcement has been identified.

At approximately  2:20 a.m, Eden Valley police attempted to initiate a traffic stop on 34-year-old Stephen Christ Poissant, of Brainerd, for speeding and a headlight violation. Poissant fled in his vehicle, the Meeker County Sheriff’s Office reported. The officer began to pursue, and Poissant’s vehicle went into a ditch. Poissant got out of his vehicle and according to a press release, that “there was an exchange of gunfire”.
