Brainerd Man Honored By Hospital for His Donation of Organs

The Brainerd Lakes got the news a little over a week ago that we had lost one of our own.  Cory Borg-Massanari was killed in a massive avalanche while skiing at Taos Ski Valley.  Following his death Corey’s organs were donated so that others could live. It’s something we should all do, so that even through tragedy there might be a bright hope for someone else.  ABC News reported on what is being termed an “Organ Donor Walk of Honor” that took place after Corey passed.  The video was released by Donate Life New Mexico Donor Services.  It shows the staff of University of New Mexico Hospital lining the halls as Corey’s body is wheeled to an operating room so that his organs and tissue could be recovered.  You’ll notice the family following after in this video.  The family wanted this to be shared.  And so with great sympathy we share this report from ABC.  I hope you’ll take a moment to consider what signing a donor form might do for others.  And our prayers remain with Corey’s entire family.
