America’s Ice Fishing Tournament

Today, I sat down with Tad Johnson, the Chair of America’s Ice Fishing Tournament. He’s also a member of the Brainerd Jaycees.

He had a lot of interesting things to tell us about this exciting event! Here’s the interview:

The Brainerd Lakes Area is a hotspot for great fishing/ice fishing opportunities.

The Brainerd Jaycees are now announcing an exciting tournament taking place on January 22nd, with a big twist.

The event is being opened up to fisherman across America. Thanks to the useful app ‘FishDonkey’, the event is able to spread its wings to all (icy) states.

You may feel like that worsens your chances of winning, but you’re mistaken. This year, 500 prizes are offered including a 2022 Ford F-150, and countless cash prizes.

Head over to their website for more info on how to sign up.

Last year’s event had 4,700 participants, and more are expected in 2022. The amount of money that was raised last year was $125,357.17!

America’s Ice Fishing Tournament is a great way to get on the ice, help a good cause, and maybe win a few prizes.

Sign up soon, have fun, and stay safe this ice fishing season!
