September marks the end of summer and that means fall programming coming back to television. Here is what is coming to Netflix for September.
Some of the personal highlights for me include
- Black Panther
- Blacklist (Season 5)
- Norm Macdonald Has a Show
- American Horror Story: Cult
- Maniac: Limited Series
Maniac (September 21st)
Maniac is probably the show I’m most excited about. I’m a sucker for Emma Stone and Jonah Hill and they were great together in Superbad. Now this looks nothing like the raunchy 2007 coming of age comedy, but I’m all in non the less.
Black Panther (September 4th)
Black Panther cashed in at over 1 BILLION dollars at the box office. Think about that, 7 years ago this movie had no chance of getting green lit. But the comic book movie landscape has changed and now you don’t need to be Iron Man or Thor to make big bucks at the movie theater.
Norm Macdonald Has a Show (September 14th)
Norm Macdonald and his own talk show? Sign me right up. The first season will consist of 10 episodes and some of the guests included are:
- Drew Barrymore
- David Spade
- Judge Judy
- David Letterman
- Jane Fonda
- Chevy Chase
- M. Night Shyamalan
- Michael Keaton
- Billy Joe Shaver
- Lorne Michaels
American Horror Story: Cult (September 18th)
The FX series continues to be one of the best on television, and Cult was no different receiving a 72% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Plus the cast is really strong with the likes of Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson and Alison Pill.
The Blacklist: Season 5 (September 12th)
I began to really like James Spader when he took over as the boss in The Office on NBC for a season. The network must’ve liked him enough, because he’s rolling on through to his 6th season of The Blacklist now. Season 6 isn’t due out until early 2019, but now you can catch up before that comes out.
