A “Freediver” Swims Under The Icy Surface Of A Lake

Maybe I just lack a sense of adventure, but someone is going to have to explain to me why someone would want to do this. A “freediver” named Petr Kapoun swam directly under the clear surface of a frozen lake in the Czech Republic.  There are two holes cut into the lake, and he swims from one to the other as he follows a yellow rope placed under the ice as a guide. He did it while wearing a Speedo and goggles, and he had a safety crew with him. Hats off to him, but I’m going to try and stay out of the water this winter.
