The Northland Arboretum Brainerd/Baxter is pleading for help from Brainerd residents in urging the Brainerd Charter Commission to reconsider excluding the Arb from tax levy funding of which the Arboretum has been a recipient for the past 20 years. In a press release, Candice Zimmerman, the Arb’s Executive Director, and Brian Pike, the Arb’s Board President stated that with little notice, nearly 30-percent of the Arboretum’s operational funding will be cut off if they and supporters do not act RIGHT NOW. They are looking for Brainerd residents to attend Monday’s (5/2/22) Brainerd City Council Meeting to respectively show your support for the Arb.
