Brainerd Lakes Area Residents Prep To Help The Bahamas

Lakes area residents… If you are wondering how you can help the people of the Bahamas who were recently affected (more-like DEVASTATED) by Hurricane Dorian, HERE’S A WAY!

Kids Against Hunger – Brainerd Lakes Area – has committed to packing OVER 85,500 meals to ship to the Bahamas following the Hurricane Dorian Disaster.  K.A.H is in need of hundreds of volunteers to take shifts this Friday and this Sunday to pack the meals.

If you can pack Friday afternoon Sept. 13th
Open slots are:
5:30-7:00 PM
7:00-8:30 PM

or Sunday, Sept. 15th
Open Slots are:
10:00-11:30 AM
11:30 AM-1:00 PM
1:00-2:30 PM
2:30-4:00 PM

Please call Shawn Hansen at 218-232-3528.  (They are asking that packers FOR THIS EVENT be at least 8 or older)

Another way to help is by donating money.  You can donate online at KidsAgainstHungerMN.org or by mailing a check to KAH-BLA at 24489 Hazelwood Drive in Nisswa.

For more information, search Kids Against Hunger – Brainerd Lakes Area on Facebook.

Let’s do what we can… we may live far from the Bahamas, but our hearts and thoughts are there with them.  Let’s prove it.

Thank you!
